Linking Your New Domain to your Paparazzi Website
A step by step guide on how to link your new domain to your paparazzi website!
Hello Merfriends! So I am not going in the exact order I had hoped to post in but this tool is SO helpful I must share it now!
When a new recruit signs up to be an Independent Consultant for Paparazzi Accessories they are given a free website where their family and friends can shop. This website is always issued as follows:
www.paparazziaccessories.com/93029 <--- the last numerical digits represent that consultants ID number.
Every new consultant can email or call Paparazzi and have that numerical identification number changed to any other word they like, for example I changed mine to www.paparazziaccessories.com/MermaidCristine. That is still a mouthful to share to type on a business card and chances are people will forget the word accessories or misspell paparazzi, accessories or get the consultant ID number or name wrong. This is why it is so valuable to buy a business name website! I bought www.MermaidCristine.com and now when I tell friends /family or online shoppers to check out my website they can either shop online or join my team by searching for that web address. Once they click on that website it will reroute the viewers and take them to my paparazzi website.
So I'm going to back up and explain the best order to begin once you've become a consultant. One of the first suggestions I make when a new consultant joins my team is to think of a group name, her business name, and a theme for that name. I help them create a logo using Enlight and Pizap and other photo editing programs, but before business cards or paypal accounts get created, I tell my "Seasters" to look up their potential new group name on GoDaddy.com to see if that business name / domain name is already taken. If not I encourage them to buy it for the $11.99 a year. Once they bought that name they can put that website on their business cards and through word of mouth tell friends and family to visit their new paparazzi website where they can shop online! For example, one of the consultants who joined my team, The Mermaid Pod, she came up with her business name The Birds Jewels. The domain was available on GoDaddy so she bought it and then rather than pay my computer techie savior, she figured out how to reroute viewers so that when they click on her easy to share website name, it will send the traffic to her paparazzi website!
Paiten is kind enough to offer her step by step instructions on how to reroute traffic from your brand new domain to your paparazzi website. Below is her step by step set of instructions:

I'm Paiten Cavazos and I'm an Independent Consultant for Paparazzi. I am thrilled to show you how I linked my paparazzi accessories website to my new website name I purchased from godaddy.com. Technology issues can be frustrating but my guide will keep you from ruffling your tail feathers. So just follow along and hopefully this easy tutorial will help you out.
The first thing that I did was sign into my godaddy account, you will have to put in your user name and password but it also lets to sign in with Facebook, and that’s what I did.
Then there will be a green bar at the top of the website that says Domains, Buy&Sell, DNS, settings, etc.. If you see this you are in the right place! Next click the tab right above the green bar, it will say "Domain manager". This is going to pull up a list of all your domain names that you purchased.
It should take you to a screen with a grayish rectangle in the middle and in the rectangle it will say, Domains, Next Steps, Auto-renewal, privacy and Manage. Underneath the manage there will be three black dots you can click on " . . ." like this. Click on it.. It will have a drop down box and the options will be "Manage DNS" and "Domain Settings" click on the "Manage DNS"
It will pull up a page that has different sections in it, if you see the section names "Records" "Name servers" "advanced features" your in the right spot.
You should see an option for forwarding, click on that! This is where you will type in your paparazzi accessories website for example mine was www.paprazziaccessories.com/101859 and now I changed it so that they don’t have to try and remember that long website they can just type in www.thebirdsjewels.com (which is my new website) and it will direct them to my paparazzi accessories website! I just find that it’s a lot easier to tell them a cute quirky name that you came up with, than for them to remember a long one.
Once you submit the change it may take a couple minutes for it to take affect, but you will not be sorry!
